I've heard nightmare stories of buying ovens. The problems are nightmares of heat, size and appearance. So I have a lot of research before deciding on this unit. After quality and price, were some of the main concerns that I had the height and appearance of the oven. I was looking for something a little look 'retro and more streamlined. I have my DeLonghi oven for three months, now owned and are completely satisfied. Thehas a very black and chrome and fits with room to spare between my place at the box office and the cabinet above.
I mean DeLonghi mainly for cooking fried chicken, and does a great job! My whole family loves the way the inside of the bird remains moist and juicy, while the outside is browned evenly. I just tie on the bird and put it on the spit, and come back when the timer is finished. Clean up is easy enough, since I only line the tray with aluminumPaper and throw it when the kitchen is finished! I can always throw some 'vegetables in aluminum foil and cook with the chicken, so my time preparing the meal is usually less than 10 minutes .... which really means a lot!
Oven Convection
Another of my concerns was, how hot is the outside of the oven during cooking. All the reviews I've read the various countertop ovens, said the heat was a big problem. Since you do not get to keep everything close to what could be damaged by heat,that is not a big problem for me was. But even if the device is to hot to the touch, the kitchen is not warm, when I use it. This makes it much more pleasant to use than my large oven, that the kitchen is pretty uncomfortable - especially in summer. Around with my children, I feel safer.
I also used mini loaves of bread to bake, vegetables, steam, bake pizzas personal dimensions and homemade jalapeno poppers are also in it! It works much betterlarger than my oven for the production of snacks and light meals. The only negative thing I can say is that they say this oven that will cook up to 12 pounds of larger birds have been able to successfully adapt their turn on a spit, 8 pounds. A larger bird may fall, but should not be roasted rotisseried. I am very pleased with this oven very happy and everyone looking for a great looking unit, grill, convection is recommended, and quitesmall space on the worktop.
